"Your" Magazine

That's right, Fringe is YOUR magazine. This site was created for you, and by you. Eight years ago I wrote a business plan to launch a women's magazine for cowgirls. A magazine that inspires us in the arena, on the ranch, in the office, and most off all in our minds and hearts. I wrestled with the best way to launch a magazine like this, publishing is not cheap after all. After eight years of dreaming, writing goals, tweaking business plans and trying to figure out a way to hire a team. I decided that I was making it too hard. This magazine was created to be a tribute to all the amazing ranch women, and professionals that have inspired me over the years. It hit me like a rock. The way to give back and get these women the attention they deserved was to get them involved. The light bulb went off, "Fringe needs to be created by THESE women." Making Fringe a publication truly for you, the cowgirl, and by you.

Therefore, all content is viewer created. In other words, if you are reading this, you are my writer, my editor, my photographer. So become a contributor of Fringe and submit your stories, your passions, your fashion sense and all those things that make you a cowgirl.

Thank you, and enjoy YOUR magazine.

Working Cattle This Fall

Mid-Sept: Lynn and I decided to take some salt and mineral up to the cows.  The feeders are in such rough places, that we find it easier to pack the mule.  Poor Romeo, he has been demoted to a pack mule---for now.  Actually, I think that he enjoyed it.    We can take...

Another day of moving and doctoring cattle.

Happy Birthday Jodi!!!   Another day of moving and doctoring cattle.  I saddled Dempsey and helped Harlan move the pairs in closer, then rode through the rest to look for sick ones.  We picked up the 2 longhorn cows, their calves and a yearling heifer and put them in with the heifer...

Windy, Windy,Windy!!

Windy, windy, windy!! I always hate riding in the wind.  And it’s the first day of antelope season and orange is NOT my color, but we had to move cows in a little closer to the corrals because we are selling the calves on Monday.  Actually, it all went well.  Harlan (hired hand) and I...

Sunny, Breezy,Light Jacket Weather

Should be cleaning house, cooking and getting ready for selling calves on Monday... but it’s so beautiful out, the leaves are golden and the wind is starting to come up, so.... I think I have enough excuses for me to go riding and take some fall pictures.  I decided to ride up...
